About The Role
The Senior Strategy & Planning Associate partners closely with business leaders to provide strategic, operational, and analytical guidance. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Planning and working with cross-functional team leaders, you will help shape the strategy for the next phase of Uber Eats in Taiwan.
This role requires a deep understanding of the local business context, competitive dynamics, and the varying needs across cities. Leveraging strong business acumen and trusted cross-functional relationships, you are expected to bring sophisticated, data-backed insights that challenge conventional thinking while maintaining appropriate risk discipline.
You will play a key role in helping the General Manager maintain a clear, holistic view of the Taiwan business, ensuring alignment across teams and enabling effective, informed decision-making.
What You Will Do Strategic Planning
- Drive semi-annual and annual planning cycles, including crafting a compelling country-level strategic narrative
- Identify headline business goals and partner with cross-functional teams to define aligned and cohesive OKRs
- Partner with the Operations team on go-to-market strategy for new businesses or product launches, as needed
Governance & Performance Management
- Maintain a lean and effective operating cadence that supports accountability, fast decision-making, and execution excellence
- Partner closely with Strategic Finance on P&L oversight, proactively surfacing opportunities and risks to the General Manager
Analytics & Insights
- Develop a deep understanding of marketplace operations to generate strategic insights
- Identify growth opportunities across the core business as well as emerging and new verticals
Industry & Competitive Strategy
- Partner with the Regional Strategy & Planning team to deliver competitive insights
- Support the development and evolution of competitive strategy in a dynamic market environment
Organizational Enablement
- Partner with the General Manager to design and evolve organizational structures that enable effective strategy execution
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, strategy, consulting, investment banking, or similarly analytical roles
- Strong commercial and operational acumen with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
- Advanced Excel modeling skills
- MBA, BA, or BS from a top university
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management and change management
- High level of proactiveness and curiosity in solving complex, high-impact strategic problems
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and challenging the status quo
- Strong ability to craft clear, concise narratives supported by data
