Job Summary:

The Inventory Management Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inventory management, ensuring efficient handling of materials from receipt to distribution. This role requires a proactive approach to managing inventory processes, including shipping, receiving, and tracking materials, while utilizing inventory management software to maintain accurate records and optimize inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

• Crib Daily Operation Services: Manage daily operations related to inventory, ensuring smooth processes for material handling.


• Export and Local Shipment Arrangement:
  
  
  
  • Confirm export details and prepare necessary shipping documents.
  
  
  • Pack materials and coordinate the shipping process.
  
  
  • Communicate with freight forwarders for customs clearance.
  
  
  • Monitor transportation status and address any issues that arise during shipping.
  
  
  
  


• Materials Receiving:
  
  
  
  • Inspect and receive materials to ensure they match purchase orders.
  
  
  • Utilize inventory management systems for shelving materials and optimize storage space.
  
  
  
  


• Materials Distribution:
  
  
  
  • Pick up materials from inventory for laboratory use.
  
  
  • Return unused materials to inventory.
  
  
  
  


• Inventory Management:
  
  
  
  • Conduct regular inventory stocktaking to ensure system data aligns with actual inventory levels.
  
  
  • Operate inventory management software for receiving, picking, returning, and scrapping materials.
  
  
  • Review and adjust inventory levels regularly to improve inventory turnover rates.
  
  
  
  

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in inventory management software.


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.


• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving issues promptly.


• Experience in material handling and logistics processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with customs regulations and shipping documentation.


• Knowledge of lean inventory management principles.


• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.


• Relevant certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus.
