Job Summary
Supermicro is seeking a Software Design Engineer for Chungho and Bade. This role will be working within a team to design, implement and maintain our front-end of server management product. Candidate should be self-motivated and eager to satisfy customers need by considering security, performance, optimization and usability in their designs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- work with teams to develop new applications in new or old switch platforms
- work closely with hardware engineers to bring up high-speed Ethernet switch
- design validation with lab team and debugging for customer issues
- business trip to customer site for resolving customer issues
- create/deliver technical documents for switch end-users
Qualifications
- Master degree in EE/CS or related engineering field
- 5+ years of experience in Ethernet switch development is preferred.
- strong background in Python/C++/C development on Linux/ONIE/SONiC
- familiar with developing/porting/debugging Linux device drivers as well as applications in a DevOps environment for datacenter switch platforms
- familiar with switch fabric architecture and SDK/driver
- experience in IEEE 1588, SyncE, NFV, DPU and open-source solutions is plus
- familiar with version control utility such as GIT and Subversion
