Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay, Asia is currently seeking applicants for Manager, Asia Compliance Position.

Job Base Location- Taiwan

Job Profile Outlook:

Researches, develops, advises and manages the following for Asia (China, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, India and others as appropriate):

1. Comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure regional compliance to Asian Trade, Commerce, and Customs regulations as well as other government agencies regulations, as applicable.

2. All other regulatory and compliance matters, as appropriate, such as Data Privacy, Human Rights, Ethics, Data Security, AI, etc.

What you will be doing:

• Research and understand the regulations in the Region (regulatory perspective) and the associated risk profile of Vishay with regard to product and business transactions in general.
• Act as single point of contact for Asia external law firms.
• Liaise, in coordination with Regional/Country Management and the Compliance team, with local authorities in compliance matters.
• Disseminate changes in regional regulations to the Compliance Team, to local management and Logistics teams. Update applicable policies, forms, and procedures as applicable.
• Supports the updates of local compliance policies, procedures, tools, internet sites, forms and other internal structures as applicable.
• Determines final jurisdiction and classification for all regional requested part numbers – upon request from applicable Divisions.
• Trains applicable regional Division personnel regarding compliance matters to facilitate application of proper processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Investigates potential regional compliance non conformances to determine possible violations.
• Manages and conducts regional routine audits ensuring proper compliance with regulations, as necessary.
• Support the Business and Sales in relevant trade compliance matters.
• Attends regular compliance seminars and training to keep current on all regulations.

What will you bring along:

• 8+ years of experience in trade compliance domain with experience in manufacturing industry.
• Should have experience in Trade Compliance, Product Compliance and Data Privacy roles.
• Take over (global) compliance projects for functional guidelines, according to the specifications agreed.
• Should have Asia regional level work exp. in trade compliance domain.
• Should be well versed in trade compliance classifications, Regulations at global level.
