Job Purpose:
Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) is a next-generation power semiconductor leader driving innovation in gallium nitride (GaN), silicon carbide (SiC), and advanced power conversion technologies. Our products enable faster, more efficient power delivery across AI data centers, high-performance computing, energy and grid infrastructure, EV / eMobility, and industrial electrification.
With more than 30 years of combined expertise in wide bandgap and power semiconductor technologies, Navitas delivers highly integrated GaNFast power ICs and high-performance GeneSiC solutions, along with a growing portfolio that supports high-efficiency power systems across consumer, industrial, and infrastructure markets.
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Test Engineering to lead test development and production test execution for Navitas power semiconductor products in Taiwan. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and technical expert who can build team capability, drive cross-site execution, and develop scalable wafer probe and final test solutions in a fast-growing environment.
This role owns test strategy, team leadership, and execution from early test plan through production release and sustaining support. The position works closely with Product Engineering, Design, Reliability, Operations, OSATs, and equipment vendors to ensure robust test coverage, strong manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement across global sites.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead the Hsinchu Test Engineering team to develop and release wafer probe and final test solutions for Navitas power semiconductor products, including SiC WLBI, KGD.
- Define test engineering strategy, resource planning, milestones, and release criteria to support NPI, transfer, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Drive production buyoff with OSATs and equipment vendors, ensuring test hardware, software, sockets, probe cards, handlers, and documentation are qualified on schedule.
- Provide technical and organizational leadership for troubleshooting yield, stability, accuracy, repeatability, and safety issues in engineering labs and offshore manufacturing sites.
- Lead design reviews for load boards, probe cards, daughter cards, and interface hardware, including schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, and design-for-debug considerations.
- Partner with Product Engineering, Design, Reliability, Quality, and Operations teams to accelerate product qualification, ramp, and manufacturing readiness.
- Establish and drive corrective actions for tester issues, correlation gaps, abnormal failure signatures, customer returns, and field-return analysis.
- Improve tester utilization, throughput, cost of test, and operational efficiency while maintaining product quality, safety, and long-term manufacturability.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers and technicians, while strengthening cross-site communication, execution discipline, and succession planning.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAO's)
- Strong experience in power semiconductor test engineering, including wafer probe and final test for GaN, SiC, or related high-voltage / high-current products.
- Solid understanding of production test challenges including high-voltage safety, dynamic behavior, leakage, switching characteristics, thermal effects, and engineering-to-production correlation.
- Proven experience developing and releasing ATE solutions on platforms such as Accotest, Eagle, or equivalent semiconductor test systems.
- Strong programming capability in C, C++, C#, Python, or equivalent languages for production test software, data automation, and engineering analysis.
- Experience with load board / probe card design, schematic review, PCB layout direction, and debug of hardware issues at board and system level.
- Hands-on lab capability with semiconductor analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, DMMs, curve tracers, and reliability-related test setups.
- Strong data-analysis skills using JMP, Python, Excel, or equivalent tools to identify yield limiters, instability signatures, and improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated people and project leadership: planning milestones, driving closure across stakeholders, coaching engineers, influencing without direct authority, and escalating risks with clear recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to present technical conclusions, plans, and decisions to senior management.
Required Qualifications
