Job Summary
As a global leader in networking solution innovation, Super Micro Computer&aposs mission is to develop and provide the market with end-to end computing solution and high performance networking products. We have an immediate need for a Hardware Design Engineer to join our talented and bright design team. The candidate will play a key role in the development process of in-house server motherboards, by working collaboratively with cross-functional engineering team as well as outside partners to ensure the robust design of the boards. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess a strong will to do great things, with a result-driven mindset to develop the most competitive and endurance board products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review and propose spec. for ToR switch and network devices
- Design Ethernet switch for Data Center and carrier applications
- Validation of switch and network device designs
- Analysis and resolve design issues
- Co-work with firmware and lab team
- Support manufacturing test and production issue
- Investigate and resolve quality issues from supplier and manufacturer
- Component sourcing and qualification
- Travel overseas for customer issues or product development
Qualifications
- 510+ years in Ethernet switch industry is preferred
- Develop 100G/400G/800G Ethernet solution experience
- ARM/PPC/X86 CPU design experience
- Experienced in OCP, data center, SONiC, IEEE 1588, SyncE is a plus
- Familiar with schematics, layout tools, test equipment and compliance requirements
- Be able to travel to US for product development
- Capable to do communications in English
