PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This role is responsible for ensuring full business/reporting compliance and ensuring monthly reporting is accurate and timely to the Finance Director and regional finance team; developing financial reporting to support the business; and managing budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as developing internal control policies and procedures. He/she is involved in various financial-related activities to develop strategies and plans, all of which help the organization meet its financial needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions.
- Track KPIs and prepare management reports for Taiwan entity.
Accounting & Compliance
- Responsible full set of accounts including monthly and annual reporting accordance to corporate policy and requirements as well as local law and IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with Taiwan GAAP, IFRS, and corporate policies.
- Handle tax filings, statutory audits, and internal control requirements.
- Handle annual return on corporate income tax, VAT and WHT.
- Manage accounts receivables to ensure healthy company cash flow.
- Collaborate with external legal consultant on any legal matters required by the Company.
- Work with banks for all business-related banking requirements.
- Always implement and ensure compliance with the company standard operating procedures
- Guide and advise team members on company policy and processes and ensure compliance with Group Financial Guidelines and Directives, tax, audit, and other regulatory requirements.
- Any financial-related ad-hoc projects to improve efficiency and productivity.
Operational Finance
- Monitor inventory, supply chain finance, and working capital efficiency.
- Assist in cost allocation and expense control initiatives.
Internal Controls
- Maintain APACMed / internal control compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 3–5 years in finance/accounting, with exposure to FP&A and compliance in MNCs.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of the IFRS, accounting and taxation legislations and practices.
- Comprehensive in PC skills/ IT literacy skills in particular, MS Excel
- Strong written and verbal skills in English language
- Experienced in SAP B1 is a plus point
- Having experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is an added advantage
- Ability to work independently and liaise with regional finance teams
