Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to join our Jabil Design Services Branch. This role focuses on the electrical design and development of server and storage systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed circuit designs, schematics, and PCB layouts for power, signal, and control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, software, validation) to define design specifications and ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct thorough debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution of electrical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform design verification and validation testing to meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and manufacturing instructions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate components, considering cost, performance, and availability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in server and storage hardware design.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design, specifically within server and/or storage systems.
- Proven expertise in circuit designs, including power delivery, high-speed signal integrity, and control circuitry.
- Strong debugging skills with experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Ability to translate complex design specifications into detailed electrical designs.
- In-depth knowledge of design principles for manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols relevant to server and storage architectures.
