The Position

Role Purpose

  • As the leader for the squad team, set the vision and strategic ambition for the squad and be accountable for the delivery of Disease Area MTO/STO
  • As an enterprise leader, prioritize squad outcomes and ensure resource requirements are met to align with affiliate MTO/STO and portfolio priorities
  • As country connector to work closely with DCL (Disease Commercialization Lead) and affiliate key stakeholders (ET/CL/TL) to mobilize affiliate and network resources

Role Scope

  • Set Ambition and Strategic Vision:
  • Establish the squad's vision, high ambitions, and key outcomes for the squad by leveraging insights from customer facing roles and other key stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Hold overall accountability for the squad's performance, including delivering outcomes and managing the P&L within a framework of shared responsibility
  • Lead the prioritization of disease area strategies, co-create the squad's OBP, and support financial planning to drive long-term impact
  • Lead and Inspire Teams:
  • Collaborate with people leaders to foster squad member capability growth to deliver team shared goals and actively participate in the employee contribution cycle
  • Empower the squad team to make decisions, enable prioritization, and manage conflicts effectively to achieve ambitious outcomes, fostering a collaborative and continuous learning environment
  • Ensure Strategic Prioritization and Resource Allocation:
  • Adopt an enterprise mindset, taking into account affiliate strategies and portfolio priorities to prioritize squad outcomes
  • Ensure resource requirements are met to deliver on MTOs and STOs
  • Partner with WPO to enable effective WP execution and prioritization aligned with affiliate priorities
  • Facilitate squad resource prioritization and fluidity, ensuring alignment under the OBP cycle on a 120 days cycle
  • Foster Partnerships and Network Engagement:
  • Foster both external and internal partnerships, ensuring that clinical and non-clinical stakeholders view Roche as their preferred partner
  • Mobilize the network swiftly to address the urgent needs of key stakeholders
  • Inspire the squad team to engage and dialogue with key stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment and timely support
  • Enable cross-affiliate networking to achieve and scale team and organizational outcomes, connecting and mobilizing DA network resources to fit local needs
  • Catalyze Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to catalyze collaboration towards achieving the triple-win goal
  • Accelerate learning and sharing across squads, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

  • Good Compliance track record. No material Compliance violation has been identified in the past 5 years.
  • Minimum 8+ years working experience in the pharma industry.

Education:

  • A bachelor degree in scientific, economic, or business related fields. An advanced degree in Life Science and/or MBA is a plus

Working Experience:

  • Experience in managing senior key stakeholders
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in planning and managing resources prioritization
  • Experience in leadership role (formal or informal) is preferred
