Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery
Speech Therapist(s)

The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) providing speech therapy service to clients in various settings (b) providing clinical supervision/education to speech therapy students and students of related-fields (c) assisting with the co-ordination of work integrated learning opportunities for speech therapy students and students of related-fields (d) conducting speech therapy training courses for parents and professionals (e) assisting in research projects and related report preparation (f) participating in the teaching and learning activities of various courses within the MSc in Speech-Language Pathology and (g) performing other tasks as assigned by the Department. Irregular working hours and duty trips (including to the Chinese Mainland and Macau) may be required.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, Speech-language Pathology or related disciplines (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in Chinese and English (Syllabus B) in HKCEE/HKDSE (iii) at least 3 years relevant work experience (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua) (v) interest or experience in clinical education (vi) excellent interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills and (vii) the ability to work independently and as a team member under tight timelines. Members or applicants eligible for membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Speech Therapists (HKIST) are preferred.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
