Job Description

Job Title: Lab Space Planner / Data Analyst

  • Duties & responsibilities

I. Lab Space Planning

  • Lab Space Utilization Optimization: Responsible for the solutions and preliminary blocking plan of the requested lab spaces. Optimize equipment placement and workflows to ensure they meet operational requirements and align with the building's MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) conditions.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for space planning across multiple teams. Coordinate diverse requirements, balance technical constraints with user needs, and effectively resolve potential conflicts.
  • Quality Control: Review and validate preliminary space plans to ensure all configurations precisely align with client demands and compliance client's standards.

II. Lab Data Analysis

  • Data Integrity & Consistency: Establish and maintain a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for all lab data matrices to ensure accuracy and uniformity across the organization.
  • Annual Physical Lab Survey: Conduct annual on-site audits to ensure that lab data within the client's system is perfectly aligned with the actual physical environment.
  • Data Quality Management: Minimize data contradictions and correction events. Ensure that lab data (including lab type, Point of Contact (POC), and Resource Ramping reflects the real-world situation.
  • Efficiency & Visualization: Reduce repetitive data inquiries by streamlining processes. Manage and maintain the Lab Dashboard, update lab introductory materials, and oversee the maintenance of the existing lab website.
  • Scenario Modeling: Support Client business teams by performing growth or change scenario modeling to provide data-driven insights for future planning.

2. Requirements & Core Competencies

  • Professional Experience: 5 years of experience in project management. Backgrounds in technical engineering, lab operations, or space planning are highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: * Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Expertise in Smartsheet, MS Project, and Google Workspace.

  • Pressure Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks accurately in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights into clear presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Languages & Certifications: Fluent in written and spoken English. PMP certification and AutoCAD skills are a significant plus.
