What You Will Do
Executing NPD Projects:
- Acquire and maintain technical understanding of products & deep insight into the relevant supplier markets.
- Partner with Molex BU design teams throughout Product Development Process (PDP) to Lead NPD sourcing activities, provide NPD Sourcing deliverables (costed BOMs, sourcing plans, risk mitigation plans, etc.) on time or ahead of agreed schedule.
- Bring Design to Value (manufacturing, quality, cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product design team.
- According to Molex global procurement policies, sourcing project management tools are used for all high-priority projects.
- Drive a culture of strong customer focus with emphasis on understanding customer's next best alternatives, maximizing business win rate through competitively costed BOMs.
- Identify, develop and implement cost avoidance/reduction opportunities within the framework of NPD to increase overall business unit profitability.
- Follow the company's NPD process to ensure that new suppliers and materials comply with company policy.
Supply Base Development & Management:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the DSS Direct Materials sustaining supply base.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to enhance cost efficiency, supply assurance, and supplier performance.
- Apply competitive sourcing strategies (volume concentration, TCO, should-cost modeling) to maximize long-term value.
- Align and strengthen divisional sourcing strategies in partnership with Global Category Leaders.
- Proactive drive risk mitigation through supply base optimization, alternate sourcing, and VA/VE projects.
- Analyze demand trends to identify alternative solutions for supply imbalances.
- Define and lead inventory programs and purchasing terms improvements impacting DSI, S&E, and IQR.
- Accelerate speed-to-market through lead time reduction and tactical supply assurance actions.
- Manage BOM cost through the entire product life cycle
- Co-develop the SRM Global Strategy with a focus on DSS Business Critical Suppliers (BCS).
- Expand engagement and leverage with DSS BCS to support enabling technologies.
- Support capacity expansion initiatives and strategic product pipeline development.
- Resolve high-priority BCP supply shortages and execute timely supplier capacity evaluations.
- Oversee quarterly supplier scorecard evaluations with QA and SQA teams to drive performance.
- Lead supplier development and geographic expansion within DSS Procurement.
- Monitor sourcing and procurement innovation trends
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or another related Technical Field
- 5+ years in procurement function focused on direct spending and NPD sourcing
- Experience in global procurement management with significant experience in negotiations.
- Global knowledge of suppliers and international markets. Related industry experience.
- Fluent in business English
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Clear communication at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience driving cross functional collaboration across geographies
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent organizational skills
- Sense of urgency, high energy, and self-motivation
- SAP and MS Office proficiency
- May require business travel up to 20-30%
- Cross-functional collaboration

Sourcing experience on connectors, cable, plastics, machining, molding, stamping, die-casting, plating, FPC raw material / ENIG, electronic components and outsourcing categories.
RF components sourcing experience for China and abroad.
Familiar with ISO9000 IATF 16949ISO14001
