Job Title: Solutions Architect

Role Overview:
The Solutions Architect is a key technical leader within GN's DC FLW organization, responsible for defining and validating solutions and system-level designs for next-generation products designed for frontline workers.
This role shapes end-to-end product solutions spanning audio systems, hardware, and software platforms to deliver technically robust, scalable, and cost-efficient outcomes. Acting as the bridge between product vision and technology execution, the role ensures consistency and alignment with GN's enterprise-wide platform roadmap. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on GN's product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Define hardware and software system architecture, analyzing technical options and requirements.
- Create long-term platform plans and reusable designs across frontline worker products.
- Perform deep-dive technical reviews of JDM designs and chipset platforms to ensure architectural quality.
- Identify and justify complex trade-offs between system performance, BOM cost, and technical complexity.
- Assess system-level risks and architectural implications using a data-driven engineering mindset.
- Perform deep-dive technical reviews of JDM designs and chipset platforms to ensure overall solution quality.
Collaboration & Success Factors
- Lead JDM partners to define system architectures and validate technical feasibility.
- Partner with chipset and software vendors to evaluate technology platforms and align with GN's roadmap.
- Drive engineering alignment across internal product teams, R&D teams, and external partners.
- Resolve complex audio, hardware, and software system trade-offs using data and first principles.
- Communicate and influence design decisions and technical risk alignment across teams and partners in English.
Professional Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering-related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in R&D for hardware or software system development.
- Proven expertise in chipset platforms, software, system integration, and audio performance.
- Strong experience with JDM or co-development models, including supplier evaluation and technical engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive technical alignment across organizations and partners.
- Exceptional analytical and system-level thinking, balancing performance, cost, and schedule trade-offs.
- Fluency in English is required, both spoken and written.
