ViewSonic is seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Team Lead to help drive the company's global social media presence, brand storytelling, and community engagement across our key social media channels. This role will lead and manage the global social media team in planning impactful campaigns, producing engaging content, and strengthening ViewSonic's voice across the display technology, EdTech, and visual solutions industries.
The ideal candidate is both a strong leader and a hands-on social media expert who can balance brand-building expertise, uplifting junior members, and cross-functional collaboration.
The successful candidate will report to (and work directly with) the Digital Marketing Manager to take ViewSonic's social media activities to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Leadership
- Own and execute ViewSonic's global social media strategy across major platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X, etc.).
- Lead and mentor a team of social media specialists and content creators with clear and constructive advice.
- Establish clear KPIs, systematic workflows, and best practices to ensure consistent brand execution and constant evolution.
Content & Campaign Development
- Oversee content planning, creation, and publishing calendars aligned with product launches, events, and brand initiatives.
- Collaborate with creative, content marketing, paid and PR to deliver strong tactical campaigns, as well as always-on posts.
- Ensure every piece of social content reflects ViewSonic's brand identity, tone of voice, and global positioning.
Community Engagement & Brand Reputation
- Drive audience growth and engagement through active community management.
- Monitor brand sentiment through social listening, and emerging trends.
- Manage crisis communication protocols and escalation processes when needed.
Performance & Analytics
- Have the technical know-how to track and analyze social performance metrics, provide useful reporting insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Optimize campaigns through data-driven decision-making, A/B testing, and audience targeting.
- Coordinate budgets for paid amplification with the Paid Media team.
Innovation & Platform Growth
- Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and digital trends to keep ViewSonic competitive and culturally relevant.
- Have the courage to test new social media formats and transparently report on their outcome for the overall betterment of the department.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.
- 7+ years of social media experience, with at least 23 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Proven success managing global social media accounts for a brand in tech, consumer electronics, or B2B industries.
- A strong understanding of social media metrics, strategic us of paid social, and the types of content that resonate with each product's TA.
- Fluent communication in spoken and written English.
Preferred Experience
- Agency or holding co. experience a plus.
- Experience working across multinational markets or within regional marketing teams.
- Familiarity with creative/visual storytelling with respect to the tech or display industries.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Iconosquare, and more.
