Business Function
To support end-to-end trade finance operational processing as a Maker, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational risk control standards. The incumbent is expected to handle trade loan transactions, support daily operational activities, maintain service quality, enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability , innovation, teamwork and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Trade Operations team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of trade-related transactions
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners, to address operational issues and provide exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement process improvements, streamlining workflows and enhancing operational efficiency
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards
- Mentor and develop the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Requirements
- A similar role within the banking or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of trade operations processes and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues
- Proficient in using relevant software and systems to support trade operations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team
