Site Selection & Colocation Manager | AI Infrastructure

A rapidly scaling AI infrastructure business is expanding its data centre footprint across APAC and is looking to appoint an experienced Site Selection & Colocation Manager in Singapore.
This is a strategic position responsible for identifying, evaluating and securing new data centre locations and colocation capacity across the region. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of data centre infrastructure, real estate, power, connectivity and commercial strategy.
The Role
The Site Selection & Colocation Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading data centre site selection and colocation strategy across APAC
- Evaluating potential sites and colocation providers against power, cooling, connectivity, capacity and scalability requirements
- Managing commercial negotiations covering leases, capacity agreements, SLAs and other key contractual terms
- Conducting market analysis, cost modelling and financial assessments to support investment decisions
- Assessing power availability, cooling infrastructure, network connectivity and future expansion capacity
- Managing multiple site selection and infrastructure projects simultaneously across different APAC markets
- Building relationships with data centre operators, developers, utilities, landlords and infrastructure partners
- Working closely with engineering, infrastructure, finance, legal, procurement and senior leadership teams
- Identifying and mitigating commercial, technical, regulatory and delivery risks
Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 to 8+ years experience in data centre site selection, colocation management, real estate development or data centre infrastructure
- Strong understanding of data centre power, cooling and network requirements
- Experience evaluating colocation providers and negotiating leases, contracts and SLAs
- Strong commercial capability across market analysis, cost modelling and risk assessment
- Experience managing multiple sites, projects or markets simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skills
- The ability to operate effectively across technical, commercial and executive stakeholders
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be highly advantageous:
- Hyperscale or large scale data centre development
- Utility procurement across power and water
- Renewable energy markets
- Substation planning and power infrastructure
- GIS or geospatial tools
- Data centre capacity planning
- Permitting and environmental regulations
