Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world's largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
Job Responsibilities:
1. We require a seasoned professional with profound expertise in Silicon Photonics. Establishing new industrial benchmarks and guiding our technological advancements will be critical.
2. You must be proficient in advanced optical simulation tools, leveraging them to enhance technical depth and drive innovation. This includes modeling complex optical phenomena and optimizing product performance.
3. Deep understanding of system-level optical interface design and implementation is essential, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in RF characteristic measurement, overall design, and system integration. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of our Silicon Photonics solutions, achieving optimal performance across various applications.
Job Qualifications:
1. Master's degree or Ph.D. in Optical, EE, Physics field.
2. Experienced in system or design house are preferred.
3. Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin and English.
4. Open for relocation depending on specific job requirements.
5. 10-15 years of working experience with 8+ years of relevant experience in Silicon Photonics domain.
