Signal Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Take the lead in projects from RFP to production, including feasibility study, design-in, validation and debug.

Responsibilities

• Lead to plan and perform board/system level SI/PI design/simulation tasks, including PCB stackup/material selection, design guide implementation, layout review/optimization, and post-layout analysis.
• Lead to plan and perform board/system level electrical validation tasks on all high-speed interfaces.
• Proactively engage with ASIC suppliers, PCB/connectors/cables vendors and collaborate with cross-function partners: EE, Power, layout, Mechanical and Thermal team to ensure system SI/PI performance meets expectation before Gerber out, also work closely with Design Validation teams to support SI/PI failure analysis in validation phase.
• Mentor and coach to ramp up junior team members through on-job trainings and projects task execution to success.
• Take the lead on design and validation task gating problems solving with proposed solutions in time.

Qualifications

Hard skills:

• Knowledge on SI, PI, Electrical validation, debug.
• Hands-on experience on 3D HFSS, Clarity modeling and ADS, Hspice simulation.
• Hands-on experience on TDR, VNA, BERTScope, oscilloscope & probe station.
• Simulation vs. Validation correlation experience on validated interfaces/channels.
