Responsibility
- Create stackups, including simulation, tolerance control and communication with PCB vendors
- Study on existing, future and industry-trended CCL, stackup and PCB technologies
- Resolve the best balance between high-frequency performance, quality and cost of PCB materials
- Discover PCB high-frequency performance inter-relations using basic statistical analysis
- Maintain database, realize PCB DFM constraints and support project development instantly
- Communicate between PCB procurement, PCB SQE, development teams and PCB vendors
- Perform VNA/TDR tests for raw cards and specified test vehicles as needed
- Drive high-speed test-fixture design for high-frequency characterization of PCB material and interconnectors, compliance formfactors, and specified study topics
Minimum Requirement
- 4+ year experience in signal integrity field for M.S. degree, or 6+ years for B.S.
- Great insight of PCB materials, CCL/PCB vendors and stackups for server applications
- Familiar with popular PCB loss test metrologies, such as Delta-L 4.0, D-probes and VNA
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis for massive raw data, and data visualization
- Hands-on experience of transmission line modeling tools, such as IMLC, HFSS, ADS.
- Outgoing, easygoing, team working and analytical personality
Preferred Requirement
- M.S. with 8+ year experience in server signal integrity field with deep insight of modern high-speed PCB materials and PCB manufacturing technologies across server industry
- Experienced on technical collaboration with CCL vendors or PCB fab houses.
- Sophisticated SI skills of simulation and VNA/TDR tests from component to end-to-end channel
- Understand well on IEEE P370 standards as well as general high-frequency testing techniques
- Player of DoE and good at Matlab script for post-processing of massive data
- Great simulation-measurement correlation knowledge based on electromagnetic theories like physic models of lossy conductor, dielectrics and surface roughness scattering, even radiation.
- Fluent in English communication, excel at coordinating across geographies.
