Our client is a leading Brand Consulting company, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, with regional presence.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and implement overall shipping strategy by overseeing the whole shipping process, organizing and prioritizing shipping activities.
- Lead and coach subordinates, by developing their career.
- KPIs settings, preparing KPI reports and monitoring KPI achievement for the team.
- Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and work processes to ensure constant effectiveness and efficiency.
- Build, maintain workflow, and manage resource allocation around bottlenecks and evolving fulfillment models.
- Identify shipping risks/ issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Set, control and monitor shipping and distribution budget.
- Prepares items accurately for shipment according to customer orders by retrieving goods from the warehouse with proper packaging and documentation.
- Reports shipping and receiving details to the appropriate department on a timely basis.
- Receives and inspects incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages and reports problems to the designated person promptly.
- Maintains shipping documentation in a neat and orderly manner.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate better pricing for profit optimization.
Job Requirements
- Higher Secondary/STPM/Diploma or its equivalent; candidates with a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
- Minimum 1 - 2 Year(s) of related working experience
- Sound knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents.
- Experience in production planning (or with manufacturing background), and dealing with customs and related government authorities will be an added advantage
- Experience in Trading/ Merchandising companies which supplies premium gifts to FMCG companies will be an added advantage.
- Language required: English and Mandarin (to handle suppliers from China).
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Search Engines)
