We are currently looking for a dedicated Service Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial gearboxes and power transmission products. Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to support customer operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support service operations including overhaul, repair, installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of power transmission products and equipment.
- Carry out disassembly, cleaning, assembly, functional testing, and troubleshooting activities in accordance with service and quality standards.
- Diagnose product and equipment issues, analyse root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions and repair solutions.
- Repair faulty or damaged components through proper replacement, adjustment, and restoration of parts to ensure reliable performance.
- Utilize measuring instruments, precision tools, and inspection equipment to verify components are within required specifications and tolerances.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine care of workshop tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Operate workshop equipment safely and effectively, including overhead cranes, induction bearing heaters, drilling machines, and related machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while complying with company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure service jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
Job Requirement:
- Certificate / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Minimum GCE N / O Level or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in gearbox, gearmotor, or electric motor overhaul and servicing will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of bearings, oil seals, lubrication systems, and rotating equipment.
- Able to use measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, and multimeter.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings, assembly drawings, and service manuals.
- Candidates with no prior experience but who are keen to learn and work in the manufacturing and servicing industry are welcome to apply.
- Able to perform manual tasks, including handling heavy equipment, in a hands-on and physically demanding environment.
- Candidates who possess a forklift license will have an added advantage (not compulsory).
- Basic English and Chinese communication skills are required to coordinate with team members and support daily work activities.
- Possess good teamwork, positive attitude, safety awareness, and willingness to learn.
- Able to work both in workshop and on-site service environments when required.
