About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Topside Rotating Engineer to support the engineering design, specification, review, and technical assurance of rotating equipment for oil & gas and FPSO projects. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable international codes, project specifications, and client standards throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, and blowers.
- Prepare equipment datasheets, technical requisitions, and engineering specifications.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and review vendor documentation.
- Manage vendor selection, technical clarifications, and technical deviations.
- Coordinate closely with Process, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical solutions to engineering design challenges.
- Participate in HAZOP studies, design reviews, and 3D model reviews.
- Interface with vendors, procurement, and construction teams throughout project execution.
- Review and approve General Arrangement (GA) drawings, performance curves, and engineering calculations.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with API, ASME, ISO, client specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Support project planning, cost estimation, and risk management activities.
- Participate in client meetings and technical presentations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience leading the Rotating Equipment discipline within EPC and FPSO projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience handling large compressors and turbo-machinery packages is preferred.
