Job Description

The Senior SCM Specialist is responsible for end-to-end supply chain coordination, including demand planning, procurement alignment, inventory management, logistics execution, and cross-functional communication. This role ensures supply continuity, cost efficiency, and operational excellence while driving process improvements and governance discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Supply Planning & Execution: Responsible for translating demand forecasts into executable supply plans. Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely fulfillment. Monitor material availability, capacity constraints, and delivery performance. Proactively identify supply risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Inventory & Cost Control: Regularly optimize inventory levels, including safety stock, slow-moving, and excess inventory management. Drive working capital improvement initiatives in collaboration with Controlling and Sales teams. Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure cycle count compliance. Support cost reduction initiatives and freight optimization to enhance overall cost efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Governance & Communication: Serve as the key interface between SCM, Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment on supply priorities and execution plans. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within ERP/MRP systems. Lead regular cadence meetings, including weekly supply reviews and monthly performance reviews. Align daily execution with company governance principles and internal control frameworks.
  • Performance Management & KPI Tracking: Track, analyze, and report key supply chain KPIs, including OTIF (On Time In Full), Inventory Turns, Forecast Accuracy, and Supplier Delivery Performance. Conduct root cause analysis for performance gaps and drive corrective and preventive actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement & Digitalization: Identify process gaps and implement standardized workflows to improve efficiency and transparency. Lead system enhancements and EDI integration initiatives to strengthen end-to-end connectivity. Drive simplification and automation across supply chain processes. Support continuous improvement projects, leveraging Lean or Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor degree or above, in Shipping, Logistics Management, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Sourcing and Purchasing, Procurement, or equivalent

Experience

  • 58+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or multinational environment preferred.
  • Proven track record in cross-functional coordination and problem-solving.

Other skills

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP/MRP systems, preferably with hands-on experience in SD, MM, and WM modules.
  • Strong ownership mindset and execution discipline.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
