  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in Python or Java.
  • 3 years of experience working with mobile platforms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and technical leadership.
  • Experience building Infra, CI/CD systems or working with Android systems and test harnesses.

This role focuses on building and enhancing the testing infrastructure and automation frameworks for Google's Android XR platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of AR/VR/MR systems on devices. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing automated tests, developing tooling to improve developer workflows, and collaborating with engineering teams to test new features.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure for the Android XR platform.
  • Write and maintain automated tests including end-to-end, integration, and performance to validate new features, APIs, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand new features, define test strategies, and improve reliability across the stack.
  • Develop tools and integrate frameworks like Mobile Harness or UIAutomator to enhance developer velocity and triage processes.
  • Analyze test results, debug failures, and investigate new technologies like AI to advance automation capabilities.
