  • 5 years of experience with software development in C/C++.
  • 3 years of experience in image processing, computer vision algorithm design and development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in camera algorithm development experience.
  • Experience in embedded system software development.
  • Experience in Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Python / JAX.

We are looking for people who are passionate about photography and have imaging backgrounds to join the Pixel Camera team.

The team is in charge of the end-to-end product, from research and developing the algorithms, prototyping, and to the commercialization. Our team's work goes directly into Pixel Phones. Specifically, this team focuses on Autofocus, depth computing, and other advanced computational photography features. Its mission is to keep cameras sharp and clear; develop and support amazing computational photography features for Pixel Phone Cameras.Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Devices & Services team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful. Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, the Devices & Services team is making people's lives better through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Design Autofocus and other computational photography/computer vision features related to depth map, tracking, saliency etc.
  • Commercialize Computer Vision (CV) and other computational intensive algorithms.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as Hardware, Research and Image Signal Processor (ISP)/Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) chip design teams.
