Key Responsibilities
Technical Service & Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cold rooms, freezer rooms, refrigeration systems, water chillers, condensing units, evaporators, cooling towers, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
- Carry out system performance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and meets design performance requirements.
Project & Site Management
- Lead site service activities and coordinate manpower allocation.
- Plan and execute maintenance schedules, breakdown services, and emergency response activities.
- Supervise subcontractors and technicians to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with customers, consultants, and suppliers.
Team Leadership
- Guide and mentor service engineers and technicians.
- Provide technical training and support to team members.
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Assist management in developing service strategies and operational improvements.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Provide technical recommendations and propose improvement solutions.
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, technical assessments, and repair quotations.
- Handle customer complaints and technical inquiries professionally.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and toolbox meetings before work commencement.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of refrigerants and hazardous materials.
- Maintain service tools, instruments, and company assets in good condition.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in refrigeration, cold room, chiller, and HVAC service operations.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, chillers, electrical controls, PLCs, and BMS interfaces.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, and technical documents.
- Experience leading service teams and managing customer accounts.
- Possess a valid Class 3 Driving Licence (preferred).
- Able to work independently and attend after-hours emergency breakdowns when required.
