Job Description
Summary
The Senior Sales Manager will lead the Company's sales and business development activities, with responsibility for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, managing key accounts, and overseeing the performance of the sales team.
The role involves identifying new business opportunities, particularly within the healthcare and high-net-worth individual (HNWI) markets, and building strong relationships with corporate clients, insurers, healthcare professionals, referral partners, and other strategic stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work closely with Management and cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, manage the sales pipeline and departmental budget, strengthen client retention, and ensure the achievement of individual and departmental sales targets.
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies and action plans to achieve the Company's revenue targets.
- Discuss business strategies, growth opportunities, sales performance, and proposed action plans with Management, and implement agreed initiatives.
- Proactively source, identify, and secure new business opportunities through networking, referrals, outreach activities, and relationship building.
- Oversee the department's sales pipeline, monitor lead conversion, and ensure timely follow-up on business opportunities.
- Conduct sales presentations and lead key business negotiations, including the preparation and review of quotations, proposals, and commercial terms within the Company's approval framework.
- Develop and maintain professional networks to generate referrals and business opportunities, particularly within the healthcare ecosystem and high-net-worth individual (HNWI) market.
- Establish strategic partnerships with insurers, corporations, healthcare professionals, and other referral sources.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify opportunities for business growth.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, supervise, and guide the sales team to achieve individual and departmental sales targets.
- Set and communicate team objectives, sales targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in consultation with Management.
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
- Provide regular coaching, training, and performance feedback to strengthen the team's sales capabilities and service standards.
- Allocate accounts, leads, duties, and workloads effectively to support departmental priorities.
- Identify staffing and development needs and work with Management and Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
Budget & Resource Management
- Prepare and manage the department's sales forecasts and budget in consultation with Management.
- Monitor sales and revenue performance against approved budgets and targets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Allocate and manage departmental resources, including manpower and the department budget, to support agreed business plans.
- Monitor departmental expenditure and ensure spending remains within approved budgets and complies with the Company's approval procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and returns of sales initiatives and recommend adjustments to improve resource utilization and results.
Corporate Account & Client Relationship Management
- Oversee the management of corporate accounts and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts and escalated client matters.
- Guide the team in identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling the clinic's services.
- Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and maintain high standards of client satisfaction and retention.
- Lead contract renewals and account growth initiatives incoordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
Reporting& Department Administration
- Oversee the department's administrative functions, including sales documentation, account records, quotations, proposals, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, pipeline updates, forecasts, budget performance, and action plans to Management.
- Review and improve departmental workflows and ensure adherence to the Company's policies and approval procedures.
- Coordinate with clinical, operations, marketing, finance, and other relevant teams to ensure smooth client onboarding, service delivery, and follow-up.
- Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, corporate account management, or a related field, including experience leading or supervising a sales team.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets, developing new business opportunities, and growing key accounts.
- Experience in the healthcare, medical services, insurance, hospitality, luxury services, or HNWI market would be an advantage.
- Strong professional network and demonstrated ability to generate business through referrals, partnerships, networking, and direct outreach.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities, with experience setting KPIs, monitoring performance, coaching team members, and implementing performance improvement plans.
- Commercially driven, with sound knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and account development.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Able to analyze sales performance, market trends, client needs, and budget variances and translate findings into practical action plans.
- Client-focused and capable of managing strategic accounts, complex negotiations, and escalated client matters professionally.
- Able to work effectively with clinical, operations, marketing, finance, and other internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with CRM systems or other sales-tracking tools.
