General Description
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification, development, and execution of engineered service and rental solutions. The role combines business development, technical sales, and project oversight to ensure successful conversion of opportunities and delivery of projects in line with client expectations and company standards.
This position requires strong commercial acumen, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities to manage client relationships, lead bidding activities, and ensure seamless project handover and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure high-value projects and key accounts within construction, industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas, and related sectors.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews.
- Manage and grow key accounts while expanding market share in assigned territories.
- Resolve client issues, manage escalations, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Lead negotiations for contracts and long-term agreements.
- Prepare detailed proposals, tenders, and commercial offers.
- Monitor receivables and support timely payment collection.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and scope of requirements.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to enhance positioning.
- Provide strategic feedback to management on product and pricing improvements.
- Support the Country Business Development Manager in identifying new business strategies.
Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pipeline and/or process-facilities construction industry.
- Minimum 3 years of sales or business-development experience within the same industry.
- Experience with pipeline and process services (PPS) companies or EPC contractors executing PPS activities.
- Proven track record in securing and developing pipeline and process-services business.
- Strong technical knowledge of pipeline and process pre-commissioning, commissioning and maintenance services.
- Ability to understand client requirements and convert technical solutions into commercially viable proposals.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
