1. Clinical Operations & Case Management

  • Lead and supervise all clinical operations within the Cardiovascula r Laboratory (CVL) to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe care to critically ill patients
  • Oversee and optimize end-to-end patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and clinical management plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate closely with Interventional Cardiologists, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient flow and procedural outcomes
  • Ensure the readiness of life-support equipment and the efficiency of rapid response systems for medical emergencies
  • Assess and manage the unit's clinical competency mix for advanced therapies

2.Medical Staff Liaison & Feedback

  • Foster a close, collaborative liaison with attending doctors, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to streamline care processes and discuss clinical plans
  • Serve as the primary nursing leadership point of contact for medical staff regarding unit operations, resources, and collaborative practice

3.Patient, Relative, and Doctor Satisfaction

  • Drive initiatives to enhance the care experience for patients and their relative
  • Ensure all quality and service issues from stakeholders are resolved promptly and followed through to completion

4.Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Support revenue generation by ensuring the accurate capture of charges for consumables and procedures
  • Assist manager to optimize session utilization rates and manage high-cost inventory/medical devices effectively to ensure cost-efficiency

5. Nursing Leadership & Staff Development

  • Provide support for the recruitment, development, coaching, and retention of nursing staff
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and competency assessments to ensure an appropriate skill mix for safe and efficient in CVL operation, including on-call coverage
  • Act as a mentor, coach, and role model, cultivating an inclusive environment that encourages professional growth and participation in unit initiatives

6.Quality, Safety, and Risk Management

  • Lead quality improvement (QI) initiatives by monitoring KPIs and patient outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational standards
  • Assist manager to oversee clinical risk management, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective action plans
  • Ensure clinical policies and procedures are updated and in line with hospital systems, guiding safe nursing practice
  • Champion a culture of safety and lead relevant committees to enhance Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)

7. Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clinical leadership, support departments, and external stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate the hospital's vision, mission, and values to the nursing team
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional committees and projects to drive service development and operational excellence

8.Other Duties

  • Perform other assigned duties, which are often project-based, developmental, or context-dependent in nature

Requirements

  • Holder of a valid Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate (Part 1) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong
  • Preferably a degree holder in Nursing
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience with at least 3 years in Cardiac Nursing supervisory role, previous experience in similar functions will be an advantage
  • Post registration specialty qualification in Cardiac Nursing / Cardiac Interventional Nursing is required
  • BLS bi-yearly recertification
  • ACLS is mandatory for Critical Care Areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and interventional procedures.
  • Experience in Quality and Risk Management
  • Strong leadership and influencing skill
  • Experience in nursing recruitment, training and development activities
  • Staff coaching and mentoring skill is essential
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese Languages
