Job Description

Molex is seeking (Senior) QA Engineer to join our Optical Solutions Business Unit (OSBU). This is a high-impact role focused on driving quality excellence within our Optical Connectivity business.

In this position, the successful candidate will gain visibility into the end-to-end quality strategy for optical connectivity solutions and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute complex tasks. Key responsibilities include multiple supplier management and leading quality projects. Acting as a technical quality lead, the candidate will bridge the gap between R&D, operations, and global suppliers to deliver world-class optical products.

What You Will Do


  • Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end quality initiatives for key OSBU projects, bridging R&D and Operations from NPI to mass production.
  • Dynamic Resolution: Lead cross-functional task forces and failure analysis (8D) to resolve urgent project-level excursions.
  • Supplier Management: Drive global supplier quality for connectivity, opto-electronics, and Wavelength Management products
  • Technical Readiness: Conduct supplier audits and technical process reviews to ensure NPI and production success.
  • Global Support: Provide cross-national technical quality support to global manufacturing sites and partners to ensure project alignment and consistency.

Who You Are


  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the optical communication industry or an opto-electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in quality tools, such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, CAPA, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to effectively manage global suppliers and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Driven by a strong desire to make meaningful contributions and deliver a tangible impact on overall success.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Master's degree or above.
  • In-depth knowledge of optical communication technologies and connectivity standards.
  • Proven experience in multiple supplier management, specifically dealing with complex supply chains for optical components or connectivity hardware.
  • Experience with Transceiver module assembly processes and reliability testing.
  • Strong understanding of optical testing and parameters (e.g., insertion loss, return loss, wavelength accuracy, etc.).
  • Strong data analytical skills to track supplier performance trends and predict potential quality risks.
