Own real pump designs used in Consumer, AI, and high power server platforms
Senior Pump Engineer (In‑Office, Taipei Development Centre)
Product Focus: Closed‑Loop Pumps, Server Cooling Pumps
Trinity Thermal Solutions is a U.S.-headquartered company developing and manufacturing advanced liquid‑cooling server solutions for high‑power applications, including AI and HPC systems.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Pump Engineer to join our Taipei Development Centre. This is a hands‑on, in‑office role for an engineer who enjoys structured problem‑solving, technical ownership, and turning pump concepts into production‑ready cooling solutions used in real server platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Pump Design & Development
- Design and develop pump solutions based on customer and system requirements.
- Perform performance simulations and optimisation to improve efficiency, reliability, and acoustics.
- Select materials, motors, and components to meet durability, safety, and cost targets.
- Prepare complete design documentation, including P‑Q curves, noise, lifetime, and vibration analysis.
Testing & Validation
- Plan and execute performance, reliability, and endurance testing.
- Analyse test results and drive design improvements to meet specifications.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Support internal teams and customers in diagnosing and resolving pump‑related issues.
- Assist with root cause analysis for field and application‑level problems.
Simulation & Impeller Optimisation
- Use CFD and pump simulation tools (e.g. CFturbo) to optimise impeller and hydraulic design.
- Continuously improve pump performance for server and closed‑loop liquid cooling systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical Background
- Strong foundation in fluid dynamics, mechanical design, and materials science.
- Proven experience in pump design for thermal management, ideally in closed‑loop or server cooling applications.
- Knowledge of motor selection and control strategies for pump integration.
Software Skills
- Proficient in CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
- Hands‑on experience with simulation tools including ANSYS, COMSOL, or SolidWorks Flow Simulation.
- CFD/FloEFD experience is a strong advantage.
Professional Skills
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple development projects and meet deadlines.
- Clear communicator, comfortable working cross‑functionally and with customers.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in pump design and development.
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting‑edge liquid cooling solutions for global consumer, server, and data centre customers.
- Be part of a highly experienced, tightly knit engineering team.
- Make a direct impact from concept through mass production.
- Stable, in‑office role based in our Taipei Development Centre.
This Role Is a Great Fit If
- You're a capable, experienced engineer who feels under‑utilised or bored in your current role.
- You enjoy solving real engineering problems instead of managing slides or legacy processes.
- You like owning designs end‑to‑end and seeing them reach production.
- You value autonomy, trust, and flexibility—as long as expectations are met.
- You prefer a low‑ego, technically serious environment over heavy hierarchy.
