Prepare cost estimates and Review Schedule of Rates and build up Star Rates.
Compile six monthly cost information.
Conduct site study and condition survey.
Verify progress payments and final accounts.
Evaluate and verify contractor's final claim of final payment / VOs.
Prepare variation orders including taking-off quantities and site measurements.
Prepare and call term contracts tenders.
Prepare and secure tenders for QS consultancy services.
Other duties / special assignment as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Possess qualifications from PSPC-recognized QS-related degrees in the discipline of Quantity Surveying, Building, Project & Facilities Management or other equivalent recognised qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects
Candidates with more than 8 years of relevant experience and proven leadership capabilities may be considered for the QS
Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management
Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes
Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and QS software
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
Membership with SISV or other relevant professional bodies will be an advantage
