Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates and Review Schedule of Rates and build up Star Rates.
  • Compile six monthly cost information.
  • Conduct site study and condition survey.
  • Verify progress payments and final accounts.
  • Evaluate and verify contractor's final claim of final payment / VOs.
  • Prepare variation orders including taking-off quantities and site measurements.
  • Prepare and call term contracts tenders.
  • Prepare and secure tenders for QS consultancy services.
  • Other duties / special assignment as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Possess qualifications from PSPC-recognized QS-related degrees in the discipline of Quantity Surveying, Building, Project & Facilities Management or other equivalent recognised qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects
  • Candidates with more than 8 years of relevant experience and proven leadership capabilities may be considered for the QS
  • Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes
  • Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and QS software
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Membership with SISV or other relevant professional bodies will be an advantage
