Role Purpose:
The Senior Specialist Procurement supports the delivery of major capital projects within a fast-paced EPCM environment. This role is responsible for managing equipment procurement packages across the full lifecycle, from prequalification and tendering through to contract award and post-award execution. Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, Legal, and Construction, ensuring procurement activities are executed efficiently, transparently, and in line with project objectives
Job Responsibilities:
Procurement Execution
- Manage procurement of assigned equipment packages from prequalification through to contract award and post-award delivery.
- Support and execute the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including preparation and issuance via ARIBA.
- Ensure timely, high-quality bid submissions through proactive supplier engagement.
Supplier Management & Market Engagement
- Maintain and develop a qualified supplier base aligned with Exyte sourcing standards.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to support project requirements.
Commercial Evaluation & Award
- Lead commercial bid evaluations and contribute to the shortlisting of bidders.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract clarifications to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ensure supplier nominations align with the Project Procurement Plan
Post-Award
- Prepare purchase orders and manage contract execution.
- Retain ownership of key packages, post-award, ensuring continuity and delivery performance.
- Coordinate handover of other work packages to expediting and logistics teams.
Project Coordination & Reporting
- Provide clear and consistent communication on procurement status, risks, and progress.
- Maintain procurement reports, trackers, and databases to support project governance
Develop and maintain various procurement related databases / reports
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- 5-7 Years+ professional experience in construction or engineering projects
- Experience in working with SAP or ARIBA and MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Ability to operate effectively in complex organizations
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
- Results-driven with a proactive, accountable approach
- Effective communicator and collaborator across multi-disciplinary teams
