We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to oversee direct materials. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronics and electrical commodities, along with a strong background in Electronics Manufacturing or Contract Manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee EMS commercial and operational activities for Electronics and Electrical Commodities
- Lead cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Take ownership of procurement responsibilities by exercising sound judgment, initiative, and decision-making aligned with Performance Management objectives
- Coordinate closely with component suppliers to address material constraints and drive timely escalation processes to maintain on-time delivery commitments
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues proactively while implementing continuous improvement actions
- Monitor and manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory through detailed waterfall analysis, while driving mitigation and reduction strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams across global regions to support operational goals and business priorities
- Support innovative problem-solving approaches and process enhancements within procurement and supply chain operations
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in EMS or Contract Manufacturing (CM) environments, manufacturing or engineering operations
- Must have knowledge of Electrical & Electronics commodity/category
- Experienced in procurement, sourcing, planning, or purchasing functions
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain and logistics
