INTRODUCTION / Job Summary
This role involves handling various accounting functions, including payroll processing, expense management, invoice posting, and reconciliations. Additionally, it requires ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and compliance with audit requirements while supporting ad hoc administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Payroll
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for Taiwan, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs.
- Ensure timesheets are properly completed, submitted and approved by manager, and statutory deductions, benefits, and remittances are accurately calculated.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and support audits, and compliance checks.
- Troubleshoot payroll issues to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for payroll-related inquiries from contractors, clients and internal teams.
- Stay current with legislative changes and implement necessary payroll adjustments to maintain compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate closely with external partners, including payroll vendors and government agencies.
Billing
- Execute billing processes, including invoice generation, distribution, and tracking, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing activities and proper record keeping.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing and resolve discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including sales and operations teams to ensure alignment in payroll and billing processes.
- Ensure proper application of VAT and compliance with client-specific billing requirements.
- Support accounting related activities, and other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- At least a diploma in Finance, Accountancy or other related field preferred
- 5-8 years of experience in payroll and billing, and some exposure to finance and accounting
- Possess Good knowledge on Taiwan social securities and Personal Income Taxes (PIT) and all payroll and PIT annual filing requirement
- Hands-on, meticulous while being able to handle a high volume of headcount
- Good cooperation and communication skills
- Committed, self-driven and able to thrive on challenges in a very fast-paced environment
- Able to work simultaneously on multiple issues and priorities
- Prior experience in recruitment and service outsourcing will be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and exposure to any payroll system will be an added advantage
- Good language skills (written and spoken) in Mandarin and English preferred
