Manage patent invention disclosure and patent filing processes, including schedule tracking, deadline management, and coordination with external patent law firms.
Review and ensure the quality of patent applications, specifications, and related intellectual property documentation.
Conduct patent analysis, including prior art searches, freedom-to-operate (FTO) studies, and patent landscape assessments.
Promote intellectual property (IP) awareness across the organization and maintain patent-related records, documentation, and databases.
Plan and deliver patent and IP training programs for employees.
Draft and prepare patent specifications, invention disclosures, and related application documents to support the company's IP portfolio development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field.
Experience as a Process Engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing company or as an R&D Engineer in an IC design company is highly preferred.
Solid understanding of integrated circuits (IC), semiconductor technologies, and related engineering fundamentals.
Experience in patent drafting, patent prosecution, patent analysis, or intellectual property portfolio management.
Strong analytical and technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex technologies into patentable inventions.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with inventors, cross-functional teams, patent attorneys, and external law firms.
Familiarity with Taiwan, U.S., or international patent application procedures is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor, memory, logic IC, packaging, testing, or AI-related technologies.
Experience working with patent law firms, corporate IP departments, or technology licensing projects.
Ability to read and understand technical documents, patents, and publications in English.
