Position Summary

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of operational workflows and ensuring that all middle and back-office activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This role serves as the operational backbone, directly supporting seamless collaboration between back and front office to deliver an exceptional client and fund execution experience. The Senior Operations Manager also drives continuous process improvement and team development to support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight & Execution

  • Supervise daily trade processing, settlement, NAV tracking, reconciliation, and fund reporting activities.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements, turnaround time, and operational accuracy across all deliverables.
  • Coordinate fund lifecycle activities, including launches, changes, and closures, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for the performance of other junior members of the team.

Process Improvement

  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in operational workflows and implement streamlined, technology-driven solutions.

Risk & Compliance Controls

  • Maintain strong internal controls to manage operational, transactional, and regulatory risks.
  • Conduct exception reporting, incident resolution, and escalation in line with governance protocols.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison between the front and back office, and other relevant departments to support execution readiness.
  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment across departments on project timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Take lead on operational delivery of new client mandates, fund onboarding, and service enhancements.

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, or any related field
  • Circa 8 years of relevant experience in fund and/or financial services operations.
  • Deep understanding of operational processes across fund administration, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting, with a strong grasp of end-to-end investment operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset to address root causes and implement sustainable operational improvements.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align stakeholders around operational priorities and enhancements.
