Senior Operation Officer, Landscape

Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing landscape proposals and planning the maintenance regime of new development projects, such as Skytopia, Airport Tung Chung Link, Terminal 2 Concourse, etc
• Assist in preparing the landscape enhancement proposals and the specifications of landscape contracts
• Evaluate landscape contractor's performance through conducting site inspections and audits and offer suggestions to improve workflow
• Review and endorse work permits related to the landscape areas from new projects
• Handle handover of new landscape areas by formulating handover requirements, conducting inspections and following up with the project owners and contractors for any non-compliance cases
• Assist in planning, monitoring and controlling the budget of landscape and related enhancement projects
• Monitor the operation of the new nursery on Airport Island through site inspections
• Maintain and update the Tree Management System and public website which promotes the landscaping of the Airport
• Required to perform outdoor duties

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Landscape, Horticulture, Geography, Environmental Science, Biology, Business Administration, Economics or other related disciplines with at least 3 years of solid work experience, preferably in landscape management
• Possessing a professional diploma or certificate in tree management or landscape management will be an advantage
• Certified arborist qualifications from recognised institutions, such as Arboriculture Association, Arboriculture Australia, European Arboricultural Council, The HKILA, ISA or equivalent
• Strong organization, communication, negotiation and execution skills
• Quick learner, good team player, diligent and able to work under pressure
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1 or 2)
