Job Description

The applicant must possess
  1. a recognised degree in construction safety, engineering, property management, or other related disciplines
  2. a valid Safety Officer Registration Certificate issued by the Labour Department and a valid First Aid Certificate. Candidates with qualifications or experience in safety auditing, safety management (OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001), and 5S management systems are preferred
  3. no less than 5 years working experience in site safety, construction projects, or property management safety after obtaining the relevant academic and professional qualifications
  4. the ability to closely monitor site safety and occupational health and safety, identify unsafe or non‑compliant behaviours, provide immediate corrective suggestions, and compile safety reports and daily work reports
  5. excellent communication skills, including written and spoken Chinese and English
  6. a good understanding of applying digital or AI‑enabled safety tools in inspection and reporting work is preferred and
  7. proactive, able to handle tasks independently, and able to work as part of a team.

Duties include
  1. to assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the safety management systems and related procedures of Hong Kong Construction Industry Trade Testing Centre (TTC) and outdoor training grounds
  2. to be responsible for daily safety inspections, operational training, and compiling inspection reports for TTC and outdoor training grounds
  3. to provide regular construction safety and occupational health and safety training for TTC staff
  4. to supervise the safety matters of construction, addition, alteration, and renovation projects, as well as events conducted at TTC and outdoor training grounds
  5. to coordinate the work of relevant departments within TTC and outdoor training grounds to ensure the implementation of appropriate safety measures
  6. to regularly review and enhance the safety measures of TTC and outdoor training grounds, and propose and report corrective and improvement plans
  7. to compile safety reports and assist in asset management and procurement and
  8. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
