The applicant must possess
- a recognised degree and preferably a post-graduate degree in environmental studies / engineering / building service or other construction related disciplines
- a minimum of 7 years post-qualification relevant working experience
- the qualification of Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method Professional (BEAM Pro) or equivalent will be an advantage familiarity with environmental certifications (such as LEED or BEAM Plus) and energy-efficient technologies is highly desirable
- solid experience in green building design and systems, and specialised in sustainable development and technologies is preferred
- familiarity with utilities maintenance, energy management systems, green building standards, sustainability frameworks, and government procedures
- proven experience in managing green building projects, consultants and contractors
- ability to lead and deliver projects independently
- overseeing park facilities operation with a high level of integrity and sense of accountability with knowledge in MVAC and other MEP systems will be an advantage
- good interpersonal and communication skills and
- excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
(Applicants with less experience may be considered for the Senior Officer position.)
Duties include
- to develop, execute and monitor the sustainable or green building related projects to collect, analyse, and report on energy consumption, operational performance, and sustainability metrics
- to lead and co-ordinate the performance and cost evaluation of the various technologies adopted in CIC-ZCP, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements with corrective measures
- to consolidate operational schedules and ensure alignment with energy-saving strategies
- to contribute engineering ideas and solutions to uplift CIC-ZCP's profile as a sustainability leader, including planning and implementing the future upgrade programme of CIC-ZCP
- to carry out studies of the latest low carbon building, construction technologies and practices to explore and support pilot projects and adoption of new technologies aligned with zero-energy goals
- to manage the consultants and contractors, and collaborate with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of sustainability projects
- to prepare funding proposals, tender documents, progress reports and presentations for management and stakeholders and
- to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
