Senior Officer / Assistant Manager - Emergency Center (Shift Duty)

Accountabilities


  • To monitor and issue revised coastal schedule for OOCL operated vessels when in Asia Pacific region.
  • To perform headquarter marine (ROC) regional operational committee assistants, including monitoring vessel schedule of own and partners services, discussing and negotiating service recovery plans with partners for own and alliance services, and managing compensation arrangement with partners for default cases
  • To prepare and issue service incident notice, monitoring, progress report and recovery plan.
  • To coordinate service recovery plans and actions required with Trade, Traffic Connection Center, Equipment Management Center, Network Planning Center and regional operation
  • To liaise with alliance members for realistic proforma schedule, omission, COR, service slide and vote casting
  • To monitor and report own and chartered vessel bunker consumption, trend, and efficiency
  • To improve vessel schedule performance and enhance bunker cost containment plan
  • To coordinate with regional operation and terminals to manage berthing programme and achieve terminal performance KPI
  • To support department overall KPI performance reporting
  • To support department budget on port charges/tonnage tax/canal dues
  • To work on shift duty, including overnight shifts
  • During emergency incidents, based on functional requirements, provide information, arrange liaison, communication, coordination, and collaboration


Requirements

  • Brachelor's Degree in Maritime Technology, Marine Engineering, Logistics Management, or related fields. Maritime experience is considered a significant advantage or
  • Higher Diploma/ Associate Degree in the above disciplines and extensive maritime experience will also be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in shipping and logistics.
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid seafarer competency certificate.
  • Familiarity with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and Hong Kong's Port Operations laws
  • Proficient in maritime operations processes, vessel schedule management, operational practices, related professional knowledge
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills with an analytical mind
  • Demonstrated strong team spirit, with the ability to remain calm and making quick judgements under high pressure environment
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Competent in using MS Office Applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI
  • Less experience will be considered as Senior Officer
