We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and quality-driven individual to join the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at the Singapore General Hospital. The main responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Perform routine or complex laboratory investigations on biological specimens using a wide range of specialized equipment according to established standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of laboratory results to support clinical decision-making
- Apply scientific knowledge and technical expertise to support and troubleshoot analytical, instrument, and laboratory workflow issues.
- Participate in the development, evaluation and implementation of new and innovative laboratory tests and technologies.
- Support and drive quality management activities, including quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead team members in specified laboratory functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and laboratory accreditation. requirements.
- Provide training to laboratory personnel on laboratory test procedures.
- Contribute to data analytics and monitoring of laboratory performance metrics to enhance quality, efficiency, and service delivery.
Job requirements:
- Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in clinical laboratories.
- Candidates with significant years of relevant work experience can be considered for senior positions
- Experience in clinical chemistry or specialised testing (e.g., LC-MS/MS, HPLC, ICP-MS) will be an advantage
- Familiarity in quality assurance, quality management framework and laboratory accreditation standards
- Possesses positive work attitude and is responsible, meticulous
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, with capability to take on leadership responsibilities when required
- Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively
