Senior/ Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• To drive maintenance activities to maintain high efficiency of the equipment and minimize machine downtime as per KPI.
• To lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine delays especially on mechanical faults.
• To develop and implement maintenance plans on all equipment to minimise downtime.
• To monitor cost as per KPI, maintain inventory of spares, liase with vendors and partners and to coordinate activities with other departments to ensure efficient operation.
• To develop, plan and implement automation projects to improve machine safety, reduce human intervention and maximize productivity.
• To identify, propose implement , and /or support improvement projects such as 5s, installation of new machines, machines shifting, overhauling or upgrading for improved machine performance/ ease of maintenance
• Performance task related to maintenance as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent studies
• Minimum 3 years in the maintenance field
• Experienced in automation, mechanical & electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (both written & spoken) is essential for preparing accurate daily technical reports , translating equipment documents, and liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Safety conscious
• Able to work in a hot and dusty environment
