THE ROLE:
As the Senior Manager - Product Manager within the Product Engineering Organization (PEO), you will own end-to-end program and organizational accountability for one or more strategic server product lines - spanning product definition, execution, and introduction into high-volume manufacturing (HVM). Beyond program ownership, you will build, lead, and grow a multi-disciplinary product engineering organization, developing the next generation of technical and people leaders. This is a senior leadership role that requires deep semiconductor product development expertise combined with a proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams and managers across sites.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned, technically grounded executive with good years of progressive experience in semiconductor product development and people leadership. They have a demonstrated history of successfully taking complex products from definition through high-volume production, while simultaneously building and developing high-performing, multi-site engineering teams and managers. This person operates comfortably at both the strategic and tactical level - equally capable of setting BU-level product strategy and rolling up their sleeves on technical debug or a difficult performance conversation. They bring gravitas and credibility with executive stakeholders, a coaching mindset for developing talent, and the resilience and judgment to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and cross-site, multicultural execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own overall program and business accountability for one or more Enterprise/server product lines, driving strategy, planning, definition, execution, and introduction into high-volume manufacturing.
- Build, lead, and scale a multi-functional Product Engineering organization (spanning Product/Test Engineering, characterization, yield, and program management), including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Directly manage and develop people managers and section leads build bench strength, succession plans, and career paths to reduce single-person dependencies as the organization scales across sites (e.g., Singapore, Penang, and other global PEO sites).
- Lead cross-functional teams spanning Design, Product/Test Engineering, Quality/Reliability, Platform, Architecture, Supply Chain, ATMP/OSAT, and external partners to ensure disciplined, timely execution.
- Establish program schedules, critical path, and risk assessments proactively escalate and drive closure on execution risks (e.g., substrate/tester capacity constraints, schedule slips) to ensure smooth NPI delivery.
- Engage BU and executive leadership with clear, concise program updates, risk assessments, and decision recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership and decision-making across characterization, test strategy, yield optimization, debug, quality screens, and SLT/FT readiness.
- Own budget planning and resource allocation for the organization, including headcount justification, hardware/lab investments, and NPI spend.
- Partner with ATMP/OSAT and manufacturing partners to support test program qualification, package qualification readiness, and ramp-to-production milestones.
- Champion a culture of global collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement across a multinational, multi-site organization.
- Represent Product Engineering and the broader PEO organization in cross-company forums, executive reviews, and technical showcases.
