Job Summary
Our client is looking for a senior retail leasing leader who will lead retail leasing strategy for a prime CBD shopping mall, managing tenant mix, deal negotiations, and relationships with local and international brands to maximize asset value and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Lead leasing activities across assigned retail assets to optimize occupancy and revenue
- Negotiate new leases and renewals to maximize asset value and income
- Develop and execute strategic tenant mix plans to enhance mall positioning and customer appeal
- Identify and secure new tenants aligned with leasing strategy to strengthen retail offerings
- Collaborate with asset management teams to drive occupancy rates and revenue performance
- Monitor market trends, retail movements, and competitor activity to inform leasing decisions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, brands, and key stakeholders to support leasing goals
- Manage leasing for promotional spaces including kiosks, pop-ups, and vending areas to maximize revenue opportunities
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or diploma in Real Estate, Estate Management, or a related discipline
- CEA License Required
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in retail leasing or mall operations
- Proven commercial negotiation skills to secure favorable lease terms
- Strong network within retail or tenant communities to support tenant sourcing
- Solid understanding of retail trends and shopping centre dynamics to inform leasing strategy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate effectively with Mainland Chinese tenants and stakeholders
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Well connected within the retail or tenant network to facilitate tenant acquisition and relationship management
