Senior Manager, Investment Accounting (Insurance Group, Malaysia)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Investment Accounting to lead the Investment Accounting function within a newly established Centre of Expertise for a fast-growing insurance group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a critical leadership role, focused on building capabilities and providing technical expertise, and solution design for investment accounting reporting.

Key Responsibilitie

• sLead the Investment Accounting team, including staffing decisions, team development, and performance management
• .Standardize investment transaction recording, exotic asset pricing, and cross-held securities practices
• .Review and approve position, cash, and suspense reconciliations on Clearwater for Hong Kong and Group entities; integrate with Bloomberg and Investment Operations to create a single source of truth
• .Ensure timely monthly closes within tight SLAs and drive Clearwater adoption across business units for group-wide reporting
• .Act as the Clearwater Subject Matter Expert, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver complex solutions (e.g., look-through funds, private equity, alternative credit)
• .Support consistent group-wide financial and management reporting of investments, internal pricing hierarchy/controls (internal), quarterly SPPI & ECL calculations, and data standardization between systems
