Role Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic bridge between an organization's leadership and its workforce. Rather than focusing solely on administrative tasks, an HRBP aligns HR strategies, policies, and programs with the overarching business goals of a specific department or the company as a whole.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Collaborate with business leaders to forecast talent needs, design organizational structures, and plan for future growth or restructuring.

  • Talent Management & Succession: Oversee performance management cycles, identify high-potential employees, and build robust succession pipelines for critical leadership roles.

  • Organizational Effectiveness (OE): Drive change management initiatives, foster team engagement, and recommend improvements to workflow, culture, and team dynamics.

  • Employee Relations & Coaching: Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to managers regarding leadership skills, conflict resolution, and complex employee relations matters.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Track and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, time-to-hire, engagement scores) to identify trends and propose proactive solutions.

Key Requirements & Competencies

  • Experience: Typically 9+ years of progressive HR experience, operating in an HRBP or strategic advisory capacity.

  • Business Acumen: A strong understanding of markets, operations, and business models drive company success.

  • Consultative Communication: Exceptional active listening, negotiation, and coaching skills to navigate sensitive conversations with all levels of staff.

  • Change Management: Proven ability to guide teams through organizational pivots, mergers, or shifts in company culture with minimal disruption.
