The Group Strategy function plays a critical role in shaping the long-term direction and success of the Organisation. Its primary objectives are to (a) support the Group Board and Group Executive Team to define the company's strategic vision, ambition and corporate strategy, (b) identify growth opportunities that will strengthen the Group's market position and long-term profitaibility and (c) ensure alignment across Local Business Units and Strategic Pillars, Enablers and Functions.
The Group Strategy Team assists the Leadership team in making informed decisions on business models, investments and resource allocation, through strategic analyses and thought leadership. It also enables the development and execution of the strategic agenda.

As a Manager within the Strategy Team, you will manage and drive the process of developing the right strategies and actions by working in partnership with project sponsors, other key stakeholders and external advisors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and contribut to the design and development of the Group Strategy
  • Lead or support specific high-priority workstreams and/or strategic initiatives in the refresh of the Group Strategy, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders to distil into strategic options and recommendations.
  • Support the annual strategic planning process, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and scenario planning.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on market trends, regulatory shifts, customer behavior and emerging opportunities or risks.
  • Support the formation of insights on industry innovations
  • Work closely with Local Business Units, Pillars and Enablers, and key Group Functions (including regional CEOs, finance, actuarial, tech/AI, operations, distribution, customer and product teams)
  • Prepare clear and structured briefings and documents for the Board and the Group Executive Team

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5-8 years of relevant strategy and/or business planning experience, gained from top-tier management consulting firms and/or internal strategy teams
  • Previous experience and deep understanding of Life insurance is highly valued
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with capability to connect market trends and internal data with strategic implications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Educational background in Business, Finance and Economics or related fields MBA or equivalent is a plus
