This role provides key support to the Chief Risk Officer and ensure effective financial risk management of the company across product risk, asset-liability management, market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk and insurance risk. The role involves independent financial risk reviews, constructive risk-based challenges and providing sound analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders from a risk management perspective.Job Responsibilities:
Development, maintenance and monitoring of the local risk appetite framework, and ensure the company operates within risk appetites and in compliance with relevant policies, standards and frameworks.
Carry out financial risk review, analytical insight and challenge of risk-based decision making (RBDM) initiatives, including new products, product alterations, ALM initiatives (e.g. SAA reviews), risk transfers and all financial risk-taking activities.
Risk oversight over the company solvency position, market risk, credit risk, counterparty risk, liquidity risk, asset-liability management risk, insurance risk, model risk and various forms of strategic and enterprise risks.
Implement financial risk management framework for various financial risks, including the review of risk policies, standards and guidance.
Support the production of the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) report.
Support the risk reporting to senior management and regulator.
Represent the Risk team and liaise with local, Group and external stakeholders on financial risk matters across company-wide forums and projects, contributing risk insights and challenges, including analytics, deep dives, assurance reviews, and addressing enquiries from Group Office and the regulators.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in an actuarial or financial risk management role.
Fellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional body.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation and facilitation capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with and influence senior executives.
Demonstrate strong problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills.
Proven negotiation skills, and ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders.
Detail-minded, highly proactive, self-motivated with a drive to deliver.
Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)
