Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Director, Cloud Infrastructure to lead the strategy, architecture, modernization, and operations of enterprise cloud infrastructure across the organization.
This role is responsible for cloud infrastructure architecture, application deployment architecture, cloud security, network and connectivity design, data infrastructure, infrastructure governance, and team leadership supporting business-critical digital payments and financial technology platforms.
The successful candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural and people leadership capabilities, driving scalable, secure, resilient, and operationally efficient cloud platforms in a fast-growing technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of cloud infrastructure across AWS and OCI environments.
- Architect secure, highly available, and resilient cloud landing zones, shared services, and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Define infrastructure standards and reference architectures covering compute, storage, networking, security, and governance.
- Design scalable and secure application deployment architectures across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and automation frameworks using Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitOps practices.
- Drive cloud modernization, infrastructure optimization, architecture reviews, and technology adoption initiatives.
- Ensure cloud platforms meet scalability, reliability, performance, and operational resilience requirements.
Security, Network & Data Architecture
- Design cloud security architectures covering IAM, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management, audit logging, and infrastructure controls.
- Architect enterprise network connectivity, including VPC design, routing, firewall policies, hybrid-cloud integration, and environment isolation.
- Define resilient data infrastructure architectures encompassing databases, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Partner with Security and Technology Operations teams to strengthen governance, risk management, compliance, and operational resilience.
- Support compliance requirements aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
Modern Infrastructure & AI Enablement
- Build AI-ready infrastructure capabilities to support intelligent automation, data-driven operations, and future AI initiatives.
- Enhance platform scalability, observability, reliability, and operational efficiency through modern cloud-native technologies.
- Evaluate emerging infrastructure, cloud-native, and AI-enabled technologies aligned with long-term technology strategy.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of cloud infrastructure engineers and architects.
- Establish team structure, capability development plans, hiring strategies, succession planning, and engineering best practices.
- Drive engineering accountability, operational ownership, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement across the infrastructure function.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, Product, Data, and Technology Operations teams across Singapore and China.
- Manage technology vendors, infrastructure investments, and cloud platform budgets.
- Drive infrastructure governance, technical standards, architecture documentation, and operational policies.
- Contribute to cloud strategy, infrastructure roadmaps, and enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience leading cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or infrastructure teams in a managerial capacity.
- Proven experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, including EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, WAF, and cloud networking.
- Experience operating and designing multi-cloud environments, preferably AWS and OCI.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container platform architecture.
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, network architecture, deployment architecture, infrastructure governance, and operational resilience.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available, and resilient infrastructure for enterprise or cloud-native applications.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, digital payments, financial services, Internet platforms, or regulated technology environments.
- Experience leading cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, or large-scale platform migration initiatives.
- AWS Professional or Specialty certifications preferred.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, ELK/OpenSearch etc.
- Familiarity with MAS TRM, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, DORA or related regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, distributed systems, platform engineering, or data infrastructure architecture.
- Exposure to AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, intelligent automation, or AI-enabled operational tooling.
- Experience managing cloud budgets, vendor relationships, and infrastructure cost optimization initiatives
